PITMAN BERRYHILL

Importers of excellence to the Republic and Northern Ireland

PITMAN BERRYHILL

OUR BUSINESS

It is our business to listen and to anticipate trends.

Pitman Berryhill was formed from the merger of two successful family – owned businesses and for over 30 years our mission has been to launch and develop international food brands in Ireland. Non – food products are also important to our business.

Good business comes through harmonious working relationships and we work hard to maintain the ‘people’ element of our business. So while we are serious about growing our business, we are also serious about our responsibilities to our partners in the market place – our suppliers, customers and consumers.

OUR MARKET

Great food knows no borders.

Geo-politically, Ireland is made up of Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. From a sales and marketing perspective, Pitman Berryhill operates island – wide, serving customers of all sizes in mainstream grocery, speciality food and foodservice.

Irish people love good food no matter where they live and from a business perspective, Ireland is an interesting market with a combined population of 6.4 million people (NI -1.8 / ROI – 4.6) crossing the usual social and market sectors.

There are no borders to good taste but Brexit has raised some obstacles. Pitman Berryhill is rising to those challenges, working closely with our suppliers and logistics partners, making trade easy for our customers and providing choice for consumers.

OUR CUSTOMERS

From high street multiples to local independents.

A unique benefit of Pitman Berryhill from both supplier and customer perspective, is our size. We’re large enough to cover every part of Ireland and cater for the needs of major Irish supermarket groups; but not so large that we can’t also look after our more individual customers such as local delis, independent grocers and garden centres.
